What does this template do?

Track issued invoices, payments received, outstanding balances, and overdue days at a fixed review date.

Outstanding equals invoice amount less payments. Days overdue compares the due date with the review date in B7 and stops at zero. Fully paid invoices show zero overdue days.

Payments are entered as a cumulative amount per invoice. Credit notes and overpayments remain visible as negative balances. This is a collection log, not a general ledger.

The working tab keeps editable inputs separate from formulas, with room for 60 records. The Notes tab explains the method and how to extend the range. All example records are fictional and can be replaced. Download a workbook format to retain formulas, or CSV when you need calculated values only.

How do you use it?

  1. Replace the fictional records in blue cells with your own data. Keep the dark formula cells.
  2. Set the review date in B7 for date calculations.
  3. Read the calculated columns and inspect the results before using them. Clear unused input rows; keep their formulas.
  4. The prepared range holds 60 records in rows 11–70. Extend formulas and summary ranges together if you add more rows.

What is it good for?

  • Track issued invoices, payments received, outstanding balances, and overdue days at a fixed review date
  • Replacing the labeled fictional records with your own figures
