Water datasets

Country-level water statistics compiled from FAO AQUASTAT through the World Bank's World Development Indicators. The data separates withdrawals for agriculture, industry and municipal use, sets them against renewable freshwater resources, and keeps the original indicator codes so you can trace every column back to its source.

Withdrawal is not the same as consumption: withdrawn water can return to rivers and aquifers. The sheets say which measure each column uses.
